AbstractThis project aims at to make smart textiles by integrating electronics intimately with a woven textiles, instead of using the textile simply as a substrate and putting the electronics on top of it. This textile will combine electronic functionality with textile features such as stretchability and bendability. . |

Objectives
- Create a yarn with conducting and insulating fibers
- Attach electronics (such as small IC chips) to the conductors in the yarn
- Weave the yarn into a textile to create a smart textile
Status to date
This project is still in the planning phase: Tasks like evaluating connection methods and yarn design are planned at the moment. As a next task a first demonstrator will be built.
