Sound-Based User Context and Speaker Recognition on Mobile Phones

Objectives

Sound is a rich source of information that can be used to make accurate inferences of users’ activities, environments and social events. Moreover, microphones are cheap, available in every phone, and unlike other sensors (e.g. cameras) robust to their positioning. The goal of this project is to develop and implement dedicated concepts and algorithms for the recognition of user's daily life situations and social events.
